The Volokno (Fibre) release is a joint project by rx:tx and the Riga based sound artists Evgeniy Droomoff and Rostislav Rekuta aka Sound Meccano together with Matthew Biederman aka DelRay, who currently works in Montreal and has contributed a unique visual composing tool to the project.

Exploring the fibrillar dimensions and co-relations within the sound, vision and the inner laws of life, Volokno is a manifestation of macro beauty and innovation in micro dimensions. To fully experience Volokno, the audio, video, software and the book – the sounds and the images – are to be equally observed, absorbed and listened to.

The audio work volokno is a composition consisting of 4 tracks.
Each of them focuses on a particular fibrillar quality. Delicate sounds, sublime granular textures, colourful soundscapes and ethereal but surreal harmonies fill up the space of the Volokno universe.
